Alpaca Picnics

Bring your own picnic and enjoy the use of our orchard picnic area. The picnic includes a feeding experience. The feeding experience lasts around 10 minutes after which you are free to enjoy your picnic. The total time allowed for the picnic is 2 hours (including the feeding). Priced at £15.00 per adult and £5.00 per child, up to a maximum of 10 people. Due to the distance between our picnic area and the toilet facilities we require a minimum of 2 adults (16+) if booking with multiple children. Please note this experience does not include alpaca walking.

Alpaca Meet and Greet

Create lasting memories with your family and our alpacas.Meet and Greet Experience Come and enjoy a meet and greet/ feeding experience with the boys. The session will last approximately 1 hour. Following a short introduction talk and safety briefing you will be guided to the paddock where you can meet and feed the alpacas. Community group visits

We are open to visits from community groups – youth groups, care homes, clubs and organisations. Please contact us to discuss.

Neurodiversity and Dementia

As we are a small alpaca enterprise we can cater for small groups/ individuals living with neurodiversity / dementia etc. Please contact us to discuss. Please note due to the outside nature of the smallholding we do not have wheelchair access as such- during summer months we will have access to the paddock for a wheelchair vehicle – please contact us to discuss.

Join us at Willow Tree Alpacas for a personal alpaca walking experience. As a small enterprise we cater for your group only. Our short walks last around 20 minutes and are followed by an opportunity to hand feed the boys. Once the boys have been fed, we will serve tea and cake in the orchard*. The whole experience should last approximately 1.5 hours.

Children under 10 are not permitted to walk the alpacas. Please see our Meet & Greet and Picnic experiences for options suitable for under 10’s.

The maximum number of individual walkers is 6 (we only have 6 alpacas).

You must be fit and able to walk an alpaca – they are large animals and may pull on the lead. We do not recommend that those with arm, shoulder or back issues walk alpacas. Alpaca walks are not suitable for those with mobility problems.

We offer the option of up to 4 adult spectators. Spectators are not permitted to walk the alpacas but may watch from a distance and join in with tea and cake. Spectators are charged at £10.00 each.

*In adverse weather we may have to serve tea and cake in the annex. Tea, coffee and squash options available.

**This age range are required to share an alpaca with a paying adult (16+) . The adult must hold the lead and be in control of the alpaca at all times.

*** This age may share an alpaca with a 16 plus adult if they would prefer. If walking their own alpaca, they must be able to control the alpaca.

All children must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
